Domain Switcher is a Chrome extension that helps developers quickly switch between production websites and their local development environment. This privacy policy explains how the extension handles information.

Data Collection & Access

Domain Switcher does NOT collect any personal data.

The developer has NO ACCESS to your data.

Your configuration is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API. The developer cannot view, access, collect, or analyze this data.

What Gets Stored Locally

The extension stores only these settings on YOUR device:

• Target domain (e.g., "localhost")
• Target port (e.g., "8000")
• HTTPS preference (enabled/disabled)

How Your Data is Protected

Your configuration data:

• Never leaves your device
• Is NOT sent to any external servers
• Is NOT accessible to the developer
• Is NOT shared with any third parties
• Is NOT used for analytics or tracking
• Cannot be viewed or collected by anyone except you

How Data Is Used

Your stored configuration is used solely to:

• Remember your preferred domain and port settings between browser sessions
• Generate the target URL when you click "Switch Domain"
• Provide a seamless user experience

That's it. Nothing else.

Permissions Explained

Tabs Permission

Why needed: To read the current tab's URL so the extension can transform it to your configured target domain while preserving the path, query parameters, and hash.

What we access: Current tab URL only

What we do with it: Transform it to your target domain and open in a new tab. Never stored or transmitted.

Storage Permission

Why needed: To save your domain configuration locally on your device so you don't have to re-enter it every time.

What we store: Domain, port, and HTTPS preference only

Where it's stored: Locally on your device using Chrome's secure storage API

Who can access it: Only you, on your device

Third-Party Services

Domain Switcher does NOT use:

• Analytics services
• Tracking tools
• External APIs
• Third-party libraries that collect data
• Any external connections whatsoever

Data Security

Since no data is ever transmitted to external servers, there is zero risk of data breaches, leaks, or unauthorized access from external sources. Your configuration is stored securely using Chrome's built-in storage API, which is encrypted and protected by Chrome's security mechanisms.

Your Rights

Since Domain Switcher does not collect any personal data:

• There is no personal information to access, export, or delete
• You can view your stored preferences within the extension
• You can change your settings at any time
• You can remove all data by uninstalling the extension

Children's Privacy

Domain Switcher does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13. The extension is designed for developers and does not collect personal information from any users.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the "Last Updated" date at the top will be changed. Material changes will be communicated through the Chrome Web Store listing.
